While in First grade children  will explore animal and plant characteristics. Observe, describe, sort and classify objects as Living and Non-Living.  Begin to explore and investigate the relationship of the sun and the earth.  Describe position and motion of objects, and record their ideas and experiences.  Identify the basic characteristics and needs of the human body.
