This week we want to spotlight our wonderful Poinsettia Sale coordination, Libby Robinson! This year’s sale was super successful and the flowers were just beautiful!! Also, we like to recognize the manyvolunteers that assisted with sales, sorting, and delivery of the flowers—Many thanks to all for your time and efforts!!
VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT 11/17/2011
This week we want to spotlight our fabulous LHS volunteers who helped make the Fall Book Fair a great success! A huge thank you to Dianne Kinsella for coordinating and overseeing this fantastic event! Thanks a million to all our volunteers: Ken Kreit, Trish Smith, Barbara Gibson, Vera Bumbak, Christine Griffiths, Libby Robinson, Becky Crowne, Liza Winch, Kevin Chouniard, Becky Petricoin, Jolene Contrucci, and Evelyne Sama. Volunteer Spotlight 11/10/2011
This week we want to spotlight an extremely generous (and lucky!!) LHS parent. Becky Michaelangelo WON a Medtronic company contest for Workplace and Community Leads. This means that she will be given and will donate to LHS the following: 1 Fully automatic CR+ AED(defibulator) with carrying case, with 2 pair adult pads, with battery, and with AMBU Rescue mask kit (includes CPR barrier mask, trauma scissors, razor, 2pr gloves, & anti-microbial wipes. Becky is also purchasing and donating two pair of child pads with kits -WOW! Lastly, she learned that she can buy the other 2 CR+ full AEDS and supplies (2-3 wall cabinets & possibly 1 set of child pads) at the employee cost! The Guild would then reimburse her for these expenses. Thank you, Becky, for helping to bring these 3 valuable pieces of life-saving equipment to LHS!!
VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT 11/3/2011
This week we want to spotlight our fabulous LHS parents who helped make this year’s Art and Reading Festival a great success! A huge thank you to Deborah Trout and Dianne Kinsella for coordinating and overseeing this fun event!
Thanks a million to all our volunteers: Becky Petricoin, Jolene Contrucci, Hania Dickson, Nicole Semon, Deena derBoghossian, Betty Colegrove, Rick Colegrove, Sylvia Pollack, Mabel Aba, and Liz Cheney. What a great evening!!
We also want to spotlight Evelyne Sama! She is spearheading and coordinating this year’s all new online art program, Artsonia. It’s fantastic!! Thank you for your continued dedication to our Arts program!
Lastly, we need to spotlight all of our fearless Great Ghost Chase volunteers! Thank you all for braving the elements and helping to make this year’s race a fun and memorable one!
Volunteer Spotlight 10/28/2011
This week we want to spotlight our fabulous Golf Tournament chair, Muffin Wilcoski!! Muffin did a tremendous job organizing and leading this important annual fundraiser and helped make it a success and tons of fun! Thank you, Muffin!!
Also, we need to spotlight our many hard-working, golf tournament volunteers: Bet Mansfield, Laura Sullivan, Silvana Beiles, Becky Crowne, Mary Stern, Melanie Apesa, Libby Robinson, Caprice Black, Amy Raflo, and Carol Himes. You helped to make this a wonderful day for our golfers and our school-thanks to all!!

This week we want to spotlight our Kindergarten volunteer coordinator and the Kindergarten volunteers. Many thanks to Val Daly for organizing the volunteer schedule to get those helping hands in the classroom during centers and special activities. We appreciate you giving your time and energy to help out such a special class!
VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT 10/13/11
This week we want to spotlight our lower school resource coordinator, Kim Golub. Kim has created a new link for LHS parents with tons of information, new articles, parenting websites, health, safety and nutrition links, books, etc. Be sure to take a look on the Guild section under the “Parent Education Resources” to view this great new addition! Thank you, Kim!!We also want to spotlight some special LHS ‘scout’ parents this week! Thank you to Greg Crowne, Mickey Stern, John Church, and Ray Wilcoski, Becki Ryder, Becky Crowne and Gary Winchfor your dedication to our Scouts program. This program is such an asset to our school-thank you all for your hard work and leadership!

This week we want to spotlight our coordinator of the used uniforms, Dianne Kinsella! She and her many volunteers gave countless hours and did an amazing job with sorting, organizing and making our used uniform closets look wonderful….it looks like a store! You all made it a pleasure to shop!! …..THANK YOU, DIANNE and all who VOLUNTEERED THEIR TIME! Another volunteer we need to spotlight this week is Jennifer O’Hara! Jennifer had generously donated all the hot dogs for our previous LHS Family Bingo Night…..they were delish!!! THANK YOU, JENNIFER!

This week we want to spotlight our fearless leader of LHS Family Bingo Night, Bet Mansfield! She did an amazing job with organizing and running this event and a fun time was had by all…..THANK YOU, BET!
Another volunteer we need to spotlight this week is a newcomer to LHS, Jennifer Smith! Jennifer has volunteered to oversee all of our invaluable incentive programs and also initiated the sale of the Attractions Guide at Bingo Night…..what a success! THANK YOU, JENINIFER! THANK YOU to all the families that came out to last week’s Bingo Night! You all helped make this a successful, fun, community building event!

This week we want to spotlight our wonderful yard sale leaders, Betsey Sanderson and Heidi Carman! They spent countless hours planning, organizing, and executing this great event. Their teamwork and leadership made this year’s yard sale a great success…..THANK YOU!
Also, we give a huge THANK YOU to all of our hardworking volunteers who helped with set-up on Thursday and Friday, working the yard sale on Saturday, and clean up Saturday afternoon. We couldn’t have done it without you……WAY TO GO!
