Fundraising


The Guild will identify the most profitable and meaningful fund raisers, and will assess how to increase the profitability of each fund raiser.  The Guild will also determine the financial goal of each fundraiser, how the funds will be utilized and and how the outcomes will be communicated to the LHS community.

The fund raisers for the 2011-2012 school year are:

  1. LHS Yard Sale on September 17, 2011.  Financial goal:  $6,000.00.
  2. LHS Golf Tournament on Monday, October 24, 2011 at Evergreen Country Club.  Financial Goal:  $13,000.00.
  3. Original Art, occurring during October/November.  Financial Goal:  $880.00.
  4. Poinsettia Sale, occurring in late November.  Financial Goal:  $2,350.00.
  5. Roaring 20’s Gala, occurring March 3, 2012.  Financial Goal:  $30,000.00.

The Guild will also explore new fund raisers that may appeal to the LHS community and provide additional profit.  If you have an idea for a new Guild fund raiser, please contact Muffin Wilcoski, Vice President, Fundraising.

The Guild will also identify volunteers to oversee the various incentive programs operated at the school that include:

  1. Box Tops
  2. Soup Labels
  3. Terra Cycle
  4. Recycling ink cartridges, cell phones
  5. Grocery stores including Safeway, Target, Bloom, Harris Teeter and Giant.

The Guild will also work in collaboration with the Benedictine Sisters Development Director to research and identify one grant that can assist in covering expenses for an identified school or teacher project.
