Report Cards Home Tomorrow

Report cards will be sent home tomorrow, Friday, April 22.


GALA 2016


Thank you so very much to all the sponsors, contributors, volunteers and guest at the Gala!!  There were a lot of saddle shoes, blue jeans, poodle skirts, 50’s dresses, jackets and Rydell High gear.  Thank you for a wonderful evening filled with dancing, conversation and laughter!

The class pizza party/ice cream social/dress down day winner will be announced soon.

Mass Schedule for the Rest of the Year

June 9th Closing Mass  – 8:30 am

Boston or Bust!

On Tuesday, April 26th, the 8th grade will be holding a fundraiser during carpool.  Doughnuts will be made available for the suggested donation of $1.00.  All donations will be collected and used to defray costs for their trip to Boston next month.

The last PSG event of the year- the End of School Picnic is coming soon

NEW THIS YEARThere will be an extra fun treat…Cakes by Shelby!!

This onsite cupcake truck will be on-site providing several cupcake flavors, frostings, and toppings.

Please join us Friday May 6 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm for the LHS End of Year Picnic!  Food, beverages and cupcakes from Cakes by Shelby will be provided by the PSG during the event.  During the event, the cupcakes will be at no cost to picnic attendees!  Additional cupcakes can be purchased, after the event, for $3 each, cash and credit card accepted.

Remember to bring something to sit on!  We look forward to seeing you for this fun filled evening!

Congratulations to our Chess Team

On Saturday, April 16th Kenny  S and Ryan P represented Linton Hall at the PWC Scholastic chess tournament at Antietam Elementary School.
Kenny placed 4th out of 33 kids in the elementary division,and Ryan placed 5th out of 13 kids in the middle school division .

On Sunday, April 17th the LHS Chess Club participated in the 2nd Annual Catholic Schools Chess Tournament at St. Rita School in Alexandria. Over 80 students from 15 area Catholic schools participated in this new tournament. Our team was able to send 9 players, and the host team of St. Rita had over 20 registered participants.

Congratulations to our Linton Hall Chess Players

6-8 Year Old Division:

Lucas E (2nd) was our only participant in this division. He scored 2.5 points, which means he won two of his four matches and had a Draw (Tie) for .5. Way to go, Lucas!

9-10 Year Old Division:

Our 9-10 team received 3rd Place in the 9-10 Team category! Mary Anna C (3rd), Liya E (4th), Maxwell A (4th), and Kenny S (5th) finished the tournament with a total of 7.5 team points! Eleven schools participated in this division. A true team effort with outstanding games!

Congratulation to Kenny S, who was also an individual 9-10 trophy winner! Kenny placed 6th out of 33 players. Way to go, Kenny! 
11-14 Year Old Division

Our 11-14 team received 3rd Place in the 11-14 Team category! Madison M (5th), Austin A (5th), Max P (5th), and Ryan P (6th) finished the tournament with a total of 8.0 team points! Twelve schools participated in this division. Outstanding job!

If your child is interested in the game of Chess and Chess Club, please contact us for the next school year! Chess Club is open to all playing levels, and all students in 1st – 8th Grade.
