Bristow Center Merchants presented Linton Hall School with a $1000 check on Tuesday, Feb. 9th.  During the Holidays, Bristow Center held a contest to win a shopping center gift card, and the winner’s favorite school would receive a $1000 donation.  Mrs. Darlene Cheatham was the contest winner and she listed Linton Hall School as her favorite school.

Linton Hall School Will Be Open

March 1st, 2016 Prince William County Schools will be closed for the Primary Elections.  LHS will have a full day of school.


Our Lenten Tradition

To honor this solemn period and show great love to our Lord, we will resume our tradition of having a silent drop off and pick up for the children.


Our Little Sprouts  

Our Little Sprouts and Kindergarten Class enjoyed a visit this week from the Tooth Fairy who took some time out of her busy schedule to tell us how to take extra good care of the smiles God gave us.



Spelling Bee Contestants Chosen

Congratulations to Cecilia (8th grade)who will be this years Linton Hall Representative and also to Jackson (7th grade) as Alternate.  The Diocesian Spelling Bee will be held on Saturday, March 5th.

GALA 2016

Grease is the Word…Stepping Back Into the 50s

WE NEED YOU!!  You are critical to the success of the LHS GALA!!

The Gala is an event that is hosted by Linton Hall School that allows all of the adults in our school community to enjoy a night out.  Come out and make new friends and reacquaint yourself with old friends!

We will also have an auction; we are raising funds for our children!  We need your support and the support of our local businesses, as well.

The 2016 Gala committee is requesting assistance from the entire LHS community. It truly takes a village from Little Sprouts to eight grade!


1).  Personal ad sponsorship; send your child or the school a message in an ad!

2).  Secure an ad sponsorship from local businesses

3).  Donate items to the Gala!  Have a Christmas that’s not your style? Donate it, we can use it!  We also have a list of specific items that are needed.

4).  Gift cards from local establishments

5).  Your talents and ideas, if you can’t attend meetings, no problem.  Email us and let us know where you can assist!

Beginning Tuesday, February 23, 2016, and every Tuesday thereafter, volunteers will be at drop off and pick-up to collect donations.  The volunteers will be at all drop off areas (Little Sprouts, lower school and upper school).

2015 – 2016 Linton Hall School Annual Fund FAQs

 The LHS Annual Fund is a yearly fundraising campaign that runs through June 30th which is supported by all members of the Linton Hall community, including parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty and staff, and other friends of the School.

  1. Where does my money go when I donate to the Annual Fund?
    A. 100% of your donation goes to Linton Hall School.
  1. Q. What if I can only donate $25, should I bother?
    Yes! We strive for 100% participation. Everyone’s contribution matters!
  1. Q. Are gifts to the Linton Hall School Annual Fund tax deductible?
  1. What projects does the Annual Fund support?
    A. 100% of the funds go to the educational needs of the students.

Please give today and join in supporting Linton Hall School your child’s educational experience. To make your gift by cash or credit card, please visit the Business Office.  Checks can be mailed or dropped off to the Business Office.  Please include “annual fund” in the reference section of the check.


Hoops for Heart Campaign

Hello Parents and Students,

The official kickoff for this years Hoops for Heart fund raiser will start on February 1st and run until the 29th.  We are mainly doing an online donation but you will also have flyers sent home with information about the American Heart Association.  It says Hoops for Heart, when you register on line it will give you the option of signing up for Hoops or Jump rope for Heart.  The only difference is the prize of a soccer ball verses a basketball.  I have included the link to register and two videos of why the American Heart Association is important to us.

Inclement Weather Policy Reminder

Linton Hall School is guided by Prince William County Schools inclement weather decisions.

  • If Prince William County Schools (PWCS) are closed Linton Hall School is closed.
  • If Prince William County Schools have a one hour delay Linton Hall School will have a one hour delay. Students will arrive between 9:00-9:15am.  Preschool and Morning Extended will also open one hour late.
  • If Prince William County Schools have a two hour delay, Linton Hall School will have a two hour delay. Students will arrive between 10:00-10:15am. Preschool and morning extended day will open two hours late.
  • If a delayed opening occurs on a day when Linton Hall School has a scheduled 11:30 dismissal, school will be closed.
  • If PWCS close early, Linton Hall School will determine a closing time and notify the school community by posting dismissal time on the LHS website and sending a community email. Extended day will end at 5:00pm on early dismissal days.
  • If PWCS cancels after school activities, all Linton Hall School’s afternoon activities are canceled.
  • Our emergency system, Honeywell instant alert, will only be used if PWCS are not in session and Linton Hall School has to make a decision in case of inclement weather.
