Staying Healthy

We have had three confirmed cases of the flu. At Linton Hall School we are diligent in taking the necessary precautions to keep our students and staff healthy. Each classroom is thoroughly sanitized every day. If your child becomes ill, please remember that children must be kept home for at least 24 hours after his/her last fever (without using fever reducing medication.) Children must be kept home got at least 24 hours after the last episode of vomiting or diarrhea. Children must be kept home for at least 24 hours after starting an antibiotic. The best rule of thumb is, if in doubt, keep your child home. An extra day resting at home will only make your child stronger and feel ready to fully participate in all activities.

The “Yes We Can Can-paign!”

The Student Council and Leo Club want to help raise funds for the Benedictine Sisters.  What you, the students of Linton Hall School CAN do, is bring in any type of metal cans, such as cat food cans and soda cans.  Once the cans are collected, they will be given to the Sisters for recycling, thus early money for the monastery!

Linton Hall School is guided by the Prince William County Schools inclement weather decisions.
If Prince William County Schools are closed, Linton Hall School is closed.
If PWC schools have a 1 hour delay, LHS will have a 1 hour delay.
Students are to arrive at 9:00-9:15am. There will be morning extended day beginning at 8:00am and Preschool.
If PWC schools are having a 2 hour delay, LHS will have a 2 hour delay.  Students are to arrive between 10:00-10:15am. There is morning Extended Day beginning at 9:00am and Preschool.
If PWC schools close early, LHS will determine a closing time and notify the school community by posting the dismissal time on the LHS website and sending a community email.  Please check these two sources first before calling the school office.  The website will be kept up to date as soon as decisions are made.  Extended day will end at 5:00pm.
If a delayed opening occurs on a day when LHS is scheduled to dismiss at 11:45am, there will be NO school on that day.
