Welcome to all of our new families and welcome back to all of our current families. Whether you have been here for eight years or eight days, we thank you for joining us for a new school year. We are grateful that you have selected Linton Hall School for your children.
Smiling Faces of Friendship
The halls are once again filled with the sound of laughter and chatter, Kindergartners have settled in nicely, sports teams are coming together, and new friendships are being formed. I would say we are off to a great start! Sensing the heightened energy all around me, I decided to set out and go directly to the source of the buzz and ask the children this burning question…”What do like about being back in school?” And here is what they said…
First and foremost, being back together with friends was the top answer according to Cassidy, Jack, Mason, Max, Charlotte and Sanaa! Meeting new friends was at the top of the list for Allie, Ainsley, Colette and Claire.
Caris, Taylor and Austin all put meeting new teachers at the top of the list of why it is great to be back in school. It seems as though P.E. is a big hit according to Tyler, Sylvia and Bode. Thank you Mr. Marvin! And, in direct correlation to fabulous teachers, learning new things was echoed by Samantha, Madison, Brooke and Emma.
LHS Class of 2017
Nina loves the fact that she is in upper school, and Bethany and Arthur are excited that they are (finally) in 8th grade! Berhanu is delighted that he gets to do sports, and Kole has declared that 1st grade is “more great” than Kindergarten! Bryson likes the exercise balls in his classroom, and Anastasia loves having her own desk!!!
As you can see, the answers to why it is great to be back in school are as diverse as your children. What warms my heart is that they all have an answer! For me, the answer is very simple…it is great to be back in school because LHS has the very best students of any school, anywhere, and I truly love spending each and everyday with each and every one of them!
