Book Fair

Mass Tomorrow

There will be Mass tomorrow, March 17th.  All are welcome.

There will also be Mass on Tuesday, March 21st, to Celebrate St. Benedict’s Day.


Green Day Tomorrow, March 17th 

‘Tis time again for the wearin’ o’ the green for St. Patrick’s Day. Accessories may be worn AFTER Mass.


Night at the Science Museum Tonight

All are invited tonight to come and see the unique inventions of the 5-8th grade students. The exhibit is from 6:00-7:30 pm.


Class/Group Picture Day

Our Class/Group picture day is coming up fast. Next Friday, March 24th will be the day for students to wear their dress uniforms and their brightest smiles. (Fife & Drum Corps participants, please arrive at school in your F&D uniforms for your early morning photo, then change into your dress uniform for the rest of the day.)  All classes, groups, clubs, and sports teams will be photographed for the yearbook.  Class picture order forms will go home today.  Please turn them in by picture day.  No order forms will be accepted after March 24th.


October 2017 LHS Fun Fair Planning

We are ready to kick off the planning for this fun filled preschool-8th grade event and need your helping hands and creative minds!! There are many roles for everyone and we would love representation from all age groups of our school.

Please join us and bring a FRIEND for our kick off Fun Fair Planning Meeting on April 6th at 9:15 in the cafeteria!!

Pancake Lunch Proceeds Donated to BEACON

Thanks to the many staff members and students who shared in the Shrove Tuesday Mardi Gras Pancake Lunch, we were able to donate 50% percent of the proceeds in the amount of $337 to the BEACON Adult Literacy Program run by the Benedictine Sisters.

Summer will be here before we know it…

Attached you will find the LHS Summer Camp Registration filled with some really FUN themes and activities to keep our kids active and learning all summer long! There are some amazing opportunities for our Little Sprouts-Grade 3 and their friends!

Spring Gala Coming Soon

Gala- April 1, 2017 from 6pm-9pm

Gala tickets will be available for purchase online or by returning the RSVP card or flyer to the front office through Monday March 20.  Please note, due to venue restrictions, absolutely no ticket purchases will be allowed after this date!   This magical evening promises to be full of surprises, friendship and fun, featuring magician Jay Mattioli.  Can’t attend but want to participate in the raffle?  Please go online to lhsgala.schoolauction.net/2017masquerade to check out our awesome raffle prizes including the newly added Washington Nationals Infield Box ticket voucher for 2 for a regular season home game!!

Mark your calendars, Folks!  We have a record-breaking number of acts in this year’s line-up! Twenty-two to be exact! WOW! Not only do we have talented pianists, singers, dancers, Parkour stunts, Improv, Rubik’s Cube tricks, and an always fun Michaelangelo Family act…But, we also have an adorable performance from some of our preschool friends in Little Sprouts! Plus, secret sources tell us that our LHS Staff may be back with another hilarious act! Not to be missed!

 Don’t Forget: This is a great way to support your brave and talented classmates and, of course, our school! It’s free of charge and open to everyone, so bring a friend or two! All we ask is that you please bring lots of laughter and plenty of applause!

Spirit Night

Spirit Night is a PRIVATE SKATE PARTY March 28th 6pm-8pm!! The cost for admission is $8.00 per person (3 and under are free). This price includes skate rental, one token note, a slice of pizza and a small drink. Don’t feel like skating? …Laser tag is $4.00 per person. Box Tops Winners

Thank you to all who participated in our Box Top competition!  With your help we have raised over $800 for LHS this year!  The winners for our Spring competition are…..

The winning kindergarten class will receive an extra recess at the choosing of Mrs. Cheney and Mrs. Sterling and the winning K-8 student will receive a dress down day chosen by their teacher.

The winning pre-school class will receive a pajama day at the choosing of their teacher and the winning pre-school student will be able to bring a stuffed animal to class on a day chosen by their teacher.

Uniform Closet

The uniform closet has been switched over to summer uniforms.  Before paying full price, go in and check out the inventory! Summer uniforms begin on Tuesday April 4.
