Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 21st at 10:00 am in the Monastery Chapel.  All are Welcome.


Boys Soccer Tournament

Just a reminder we host the Boys soccer tournament tomorrow, Friday, October 21. The canteen will be open for snacks and drinks. Click HERE for the Menu/Order form.  Children are to wear their PE shorts with either their PE shirt or a spirit wear shirt. Please bring a towel to sit on to watch the games.

Fun Fair Highlights

Thank you so much for all of the support for one of our favorite fall traditions with our families- The LHS Community Fun Fair on Saturday was wonderful day for all ages- from our little ones-adults!



















From Our Preschool

Our LHS Little Sprouts enjoyed a fun nature walk in Hands on Science Class in preparation for our Fall Harvest “Great Outdoors” theme next week!  They even saw a beautiful Blue Heron up in a tree near the water- so amazing!!  We are blessed with a beautiful campus to explore- God is Good!!












Open House Dates

Please spread the word about Open Houses we will be having through the school year.  The dates are November 6th, 2016; January 29th 2017; and March 26th, 2017.  Please note the date change for the November Open House, this has been changed so that there is no conflict with the scheduled Redskin game. Each Open House is open to the public and all families are welcome to come and share the school spirit.


Spirit Night

Next Spirit Night is October 25th from 4-9pm at BJ’s Brewhouse in Gainesville.  Don’t forget to give this FLYER to your server when you pay.  BJ’s is generously donating 20% of what you spend back to the school!  Support your school while enjoying a family dinner you didn’t have to prepare.

GGC Registration:

Registration is now OPEN!  The GGC is an all-school event, and all K-8 students must register for EITHER the K-8 competitive or K-8 non-competitive division.

Need a registration form?  Download one HERE!

All K-8 Students must register for either the Competitive or Non-competitive division by Wednesday, October 26th. Any K-8 student who does not register will be automatically placed in the non-competitive division.  All Pre-K students are automatically registered for the non-competitive division.

Parents – We want to see you on the course competing with the LHS Faculty/Staff!  Parents need to check the “Parent/Faculty Competitive Division” on the registration form, provide his or her name, and send in the form to the main office by Wednesday, October 26th.

Faculty – Join the competition on the GGC course!  A sign up sheet is in the Teacher Lunch Lounge and in the preschool office next to the staff mailboxes!  Registration deadline is Wednesday, October 26th.

Christmas in October Service Project

For our October Service Learning Project, we are asking all of our Linton Hall School families to support the Sisters with their collection of gifts for the Appalachian Missions.  This mission serves the children in Appalachia who are in need of basic necessities.  Please consider contributing to this wonderful charity. Each class has been assigned the following ideas to donate. Please click HERE for class assignment suggestions. Please turn in Items to the main office by Wednesday, October 26th. Let the Bells Ring Out!

First Quarter Conferences

First quarter conferences are scheduled for Friday, November 11 from 8:30am-4:30pm. K-5 homeroom teachers will be scheduling their conferences through sign-up genius. For teachers of grade 6-8, you will be receiving an invitation through sign up genius from Mrs Poole. The invitations will be sent on Friday, October 28. Each conference will last for 20 minutes.


Box Tops

Calling all classes…Bring in those box tops!! The K-8th grade class that brings in the most box tops through October 21st will win a DRESS DOWN DAY chosen by Mrs. Poole. The preschool class that brings in the most box tops will earn a PAJAMA DAY!  Please put your box tops in a sealable bag, labeled with name and grade and return to homeroom teacher.  See flyer HERE


Uniform Closet

The uniform closet has been switched from summer uniforms to winter uniforms.  Before you purchase new uniforms, go check it out to see if we have the size that you need in almost like new condition!  New this season:  socks for $1/pair and windbreakers for $5/each- while supplies last!  Please see attached price sheet for other items HERE.


Parent Portal for grades 4-8

Parents of students in Grades 4-8 can access grade and attendance information online or through a mobile app (Android or iOS.) If you’re unsure of your Parent Portal login, please contact Ms. McGee in the front office.


Big Daddy Basketball on Sunday Nights

Ready for a pick up game? Join us Sunday nights in the gym from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. All Dad’s are welcome.
