Thanks to all the staff and students who showed their LHS spirit at the Haymarket Day Parade! It was a hot but FUN day!! Our amazing Fife and Drum led the way as Mrs. Poole drove our “Little Sprout Barnyard Buddies” on the float. We handed out over 500 postcards advertising our LHS Fun Fair and Open House dates for the year!

Big Happenings in the Leo Club !
The Leo Club will be participating in the Campaign to End Hunger at the House of Mercy, located at:
House of Mercy
The date for this year’s campaign is Saturday, October 7, 2017. The Leo Club has 8 spots to fill. Our shift is from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.
We will be packing rice, beans and protein packs. This is an excellent family activity and an excellent opportunity to earn required service hours for Confirmation and Boy Scouts. I will be available to sign off on service hours as needed. This is a huge community event and a wonderful experience for the children. Students fifth grade and above, please.
Please contact Mrs. Winch if you are interested in Helping to End Hunger! I will get a permission slip to you and register your student and/or family.
Also happening on Saturday, October 7, 2017, is the Birmingham Green Service Opportunity for Leo Club. Traditionally, the Leo’s serve a Picnic Lunch to the residents of the Birmingham Green Retirement Facility. We are requesting that a few Leo’s attend this event from 11:30 – 1:00 pm. Permission slips are forthcoming.
