Lynx Memories
Gavin Farey, Class of 2022
One of my favorites memories is at the end of each school year, I would look at the graduating the 8th graders and how we would bless them for their years of high school. I would always think to myself that someday, that would be me, but it always seemed so far. Now that I’m a freshman, it still feels like yesterday that I was beginning the 8th grade. It all went by so fast.
Janelle Bazin Scholl, Class of 1998
My entire class in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. Our Shakespeare play with Mrs. Gill and our Boston trip with Mrs. Shaughnessy and Mrs. Gill! Making “real books” and having our author’s party in 8th grade. OCEA days with Ms. Clark, swimming in the pool! All the soccer and basketball games with Mr. Voss and Mrs. Dehoff. The Christmas Market and Sister Trinidad’s delicious egg rolls! (I still dream about these!) Building the Egyptian sarcophagus with Ms. Clark. I could go on and on about memories! The more I think, the more I write!!! But my overall feeling about Linton Hall was it was a place about family and how close everyone was. We were truly a community in every way…and I truly miss that!

I was a cadet at Linton Hall Military School in 1963. It was a time of my life that left an indelible imprint. What I was taught during my time there has been invaluable in many aspects and moments of my life. I was assigned to dormitory 3, E Company, Second Platoon. Sister Mary David was our principal, and Father Boniface was our chaplain. Bill Farquhar (who lived across the road in front of the school) was our daily instructor. My life has taken me through many roads and to many places. I currently live in Germany with my wife (who was born in Nuremberg). God bless you.
