Beautiful things happening the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia's prayer garden! Each day brings new detail as skilled craftsmen carefully shape and place each stone, creating the harmonious walls that will surround the Prayer Pods.
As work progresses, it becomes easier to imagine the beauty and peace this sacred space will offer when the garden is finished.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the many friends of the Monastery whose generosity is helping make the Prayer Garden possible.
Sponsorship opportunities, including memorial flower beds, are still available for those who wish to help shape this meaningful space.
If you’d like to learn more, call 571-428-2528 or email djobe@osbva.org. Donations can be made at: osbva.org/support-us/#prayer-garden

One of our favorite games to play in Dragon Class all year has been “Around the World!” 🌎
This game helps children practice memorization, listening skills, and beginning letter sounds. It’s also a great game to play in the car or while traveling!
How to play: Children sit in a circle and start with the letter A. The first child says: “When I go to Grandma’s house, I’m bringing…” and then names something that begins with the letter A.
The next child repeats the first item and adds something that begins with the letter B. Each child continues repeating all the previous items in order and adding a new item for the next letter of the alphabet.
As children get older, you can make the game more challenging by choosing themes like Disney characters, foods, animals, girl names, and more!
For the purpose of this video, we did the Z together as a class rather than individually.
