Religion

Foundation in Faith and Values

At our independent Catholic school, each student studies religion as an academic subject, and the curriculum affirms and encourages Christian values and a sense of Christian commitment. We follow the Diocese of Arlington and are a ministry of the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia.

Throughout the year special programs and services focus on the individual gifts and talents of the students in relationship to our Creator. Programs during the year, including weekly Mass and Morning Prayer, encourage students to reach out to others in our local and global communities.

Community service is an integral part of the School, and students’ leadership experience. Grades 4-8 participate in a Student Council Association. Upper School students participate in the Leo Club, where they initiate and participate in many community outreach activities that support local charities. Collaborating as a class or as a school on these projects builds school unity and encourages our students to view the world with an empathetic heart.
